The Perry Township Board of Trustees is accepting letters of interest from residents wanting to serve on the Perry Township Board of Zoning Appeals. Residents interested in serving on this board should send a letter of interest along with a brief resume of qualifications to: Perry Township Board of Trustees, ATTN: Beth Beatty, Township Administrator, 7125 Sawmill Rd. The Board of Zoning Appeals meets once a month, when needed,
--To hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the Zoning Inspector in the enforcement of the Zoning Resolution.
--To hear and decide, upon appeal, in specific cases such variance from the terms of the Zoning Resolution as will not be contrary to the public interest where, owing to special conditions on the land, a literal enforcement of the provisions of the Zoning Resolution would result in unnecessary hardship. In granting such variance, the BZA shall prescribe appropriate conditions and safeguards to maintain the intent and spirit of the Zoning District in conformity with the Zoning Resolution.
--To authorize only such conditional uses as the BZA is specifically authorized to consider by the terms of the Zoning Resolution.
