Construction on the Brookside Safe Routes to School (SRTS) project is scheduled to begin next Monday, October 20. Strawser Construction is the contractor for this project. The project is estimated to be completed in approximately two to three weeks.

Residents near the construction area may experience traffic impacts, limited parking restrictions, and restricted driveway access while work is taking place. Strawser will make every effort to maintain driveway access where possible to minimize disruption. 

The project includes the installation of approximately 1,000 feet of new sidewalk:

• On the north side of McVey Blvd between Brookside Elementary and Merwood Dr
• On the north side of McVey Blvd east of the elementary school to McVey Ct
• Along the west side of Millbrae Rd between McVey Blvd and Merbrook Rd
