[ARCHIVED] McVey Blvd Road Closing

McVey Blvd  will be closed from 9am to 4pm daily(Mondays to Thursdays only) beginning August 12th due to culvert repair  (the culvert is below the dip in the road on McVey Blvd where the ravine is).....The closure will be from Rt 161 to McVey Blvd West (with only local traffic allowed from the south up to 6255 McVey and from the north down to Cutter Ct)  Franklin County Engineers are planning to start work on the McVey Blvd culvert project the week of August 12th. Mid-week they are planning on clearing trees and brush along the edge of the road and ravine to make a path for crews and equipment to get into the ravine.  The week of August 19th they will be bringing in stone to build up the banks of the ravine where erosion has taken place and filling  in the holes inside of the culvert. Once stones are in place they are going to pour a new concrete floor inside of the culvert. They hope to have the repairs completed by August 23.
