Construction Updates
Posted on: July 21, 2023[ARCHIVED] 7/21/23 - Circle on the Green & Greenside Repaving
Strawser Construction has notified our office that their crew is available to begin the full depth repairs on Circle on the Green and Greenside Ln tomorrow, July 22, 2023. The estimated timeline for the entire project is as follows: - 7/22-7/26: Strawser will begin the project with full depth repairs to the pavement. Full depth repairs are needed to prevent areas of distress from reflecting though to the final asphalt surface course. We have several areas near the curb on Circle on the Green and Greenside Lane that are starting to show Distress. Strawser crews will remove the distressed sections of asphalt then replace and compact with new asphalt. Cut outs are typically filled in the same day. Strawser will knock on doors to notify residents if any driveways will be blocked. The full-depth repairs are scheduled to take five (5) days to complete.
- 8/14: Pavement milling. Work should be completed on the same day.
- 8/18: Fibermat will be implemented. Fibermat is a stress absorbing interlayer used to waterproof and seal small cracks or imperfections in the asphalt before the surface course is installed.
- 8/20-8/28: The final asphalt surface course will be laid down.
Please note that these dates are subject to change in the event of adverse weather. Additionally, Road Superintendent Ian Warren will contact Aqua in mid-August to have DLC Equipment Company return to repair yards that have settled and/or reseed grass that did not take following the waterline project. The heat during summer months makes it not a good time for grass seed to take, so the objective is to have additional yard restoration take place once the extreme has passed. If you have any questions, please contact Road Superintendent Ian Warren: iwarren@perrytwp.org or 614-889-8171. |
