The Road Department will begin their annual fall leaf collection next Monday, October 16th. Leaf collection will continue weekly until Friday, December 1st.

The Road Department asks residents to observe the following guidelines:

• Leaf piles must be no wider than six feet and placed in your yard at the edge of the road. Do not place leaves in the road or curb.
• Leaves should not obstruct the roadway or any sewer drains and catch basins.
• All piles must be free of branches, dirt, flowers, and mulch. Piles with excessive branches and debris will not be picked up.
• Do not pile your leaves around trash bins, mailboxes, behind vehicles, fire hydrants, etc. They must be six feet away from all obstructions in order for the machine to pick them up. Leaves piled too close to obstructions will not be picked up.
• Do not bag your leaves if you want them picked up by the Road Department. Instead, bagged waste should be marked as yard waste for Rumpke to pick up.
• If, due to circumstances beyond our control, leaves are not picked up within the scheduled time, they will be picked up as soon as reasonably possible.
