[ARCHIVED] Zoning Reminder About Trash Receptacles

The Zoning Department would like to remind residents that the Perry Township Zoning Resolution § 551.028 requires that trash cans and other trash receptacles be screened or stored out-of-sight from the roadway. Screening must be between 4 ft and 6ft tall, and must be made either out fencing or landscaping. The Perry Township Zoning Resolution is available on the Township website: https://www.perrytwp.org/DocumentCenter/View/49/Township-Zoning-Code

While no permit is required for trash enclosures, staff review is required for the proposed screening. Residents can submit their enclosures for review online via the Permit Portal, creating an account, and applying for an "Enclosure for trash bins". Residents may also submit their plans to the Zoning Department at 7125 Sawmill Rd, Dublin, OH 43016 There is no fee for the review process.

This is a general notice to residents unfamiliar with the Perry Township Zoning Resolution. In the future, notices may begin to be delivered to property owners out of compliance with trash storage standards.

If you have any questions, please contact Zoning Inspector Keith Hamilton at khamilton@perrytwp.org, or call 614-889-1211.
