Criminal Investigations manages criminal intelligence information, conducts employee background checks, processes crime scenes (fingerprints and photos), and collects evidence. 

Investigations are reviewed and assigned a priority based upon the seriousness of the offense and solvability of the crime. Some crimes may take weeks, months, or in some cases years to fully investigate and prosecute.
