Scammers are crafty con artists. Whether it's pretending to be a family member, saying you've won a grand prize, or claiming your computer is infected by a virus, they have one goal in mind: to separate you from your money. They try to make victims act without thinking, so that they will make a hasty decision to hand over their cash. 

Scammers can communicate with you by phone, email, traditional mail, and text. Below are some of the most common scams you should be on the look out for:
